Question: I have signed up for the Permanent Absentee List, do I still need to fill out this application?

Answer: Yes, you still need to complete and return the application to the Clerk’s Office in order to receive an absentee ballot. The Clerk's Office verifies that the signature on the application agrees with the signature on your Voter Registration before mailing your Absentee Ballot.

Answer:

  • Township 24/7 Drop Box located in the Drive Thru loop at Township Hall
  • Hand deliver to the Blue Box located in the lobby of Township Hall

Question:
Do you open all the absentee ballots?

Answer: Yes! Every single absentee ballot that is received by 8pm on Election Day is opened and tabulated to be part of the total township Election Results.

Question:
Do you have weekend hours before the election?

Answer: Yes, we are open the Saturday prior to each election. Check the Clerk’s page for additional evening and weekend hours.

Question:
I have a Power of Attorney for a family member, can I sign for them?

Answer: No, a voter must sign or make their mark on the application and the outside envelope of the absentee ballot. If you assist a voter with the return of the application, you must complete the Certificate of Authorized Elector Returning Absent Voter Ballot Application.
