Change to Tax Bill

Commencing with the 2017 Winter Property Taxes, Property Owners will see the administrative fee at the bottom of their bill (highlighted in yellow on this sample). This 1% Administrative Fee is authorized under Michigan Complied Law 211.44.

Tax Bills

Summer Tax Bills
- Are mailed out by July 2 and are payable at the Township offices without interest until 4:30 p.m. on September 14, 2018. After 4:30 p.m. on September 14, 2018 there will be 1% interest added to the balance per month.

Winter Tax Bills - Are mailed out by December 3 and are payable at the Township offices without penalty until 4:30 p.m. on February 14, 2019.

All Remaining Tax Balances - will have 3% penalty added after 4:30 p.m. February 14, 2019. Northville Township can accept payment until 4:30 p.m. February 28, 2019

Postmarks are not accepted.

Pursuant to the State of Michigan General Property Tax Act 206 MCL211.44, we cannot waive any interest or fees for any reason.

Beginning March 1, all delinquent real property must be paid to Wayne County Treasurer.

All tax bills are mailed out at the same time by first class mail. If you don't receive a tax bill by the above dates please contact the tax department at (248) 348-5810 to request a copy of your bill. Failure to receive your tax bill does not exempt you from penalties and interest. It is your responsibility to ensure that your taxes are paid.

Payment in Person: Bring in both halves of the tax statement to the TOWNSHIP HALL 44405 SIX MILE RD. We accept cash and check payments from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. during our regular business days. Debit or credit cards are not accepted.

Drop Box: For your convenience, a payment drop box is located on the west side of the building. Please have payments in the drop box by 4:30 p.m. on the due date to avoid penalty. If dropped off after 4:30 p.m. penalty will be added to the balance. Please do not submit cash through the drop box.

Credit Card: Payment by credit card is available only through our website and is administered by Official Payments Corp. Credit cards accepted are Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express. A convenience fee of 3% is charged by Official Payments Corp. If using an electronic check the fee is $3 for payments under $10,000 and $15 for payments over $10,000 and will be added to each transaction made.

Online banking through your bank: Most banks use a third party to process checks requested through their online bill payment system. This means that your money is deducted from your account and sent to the third party processor, not directly to us. Bills paid through your online banking system may take up to 15 business days for us to receive. To ensure payments are received on time, please set payment date 15 business days prior to due date.
